In order to fight the European corn borer, Azur Drones has innovated by using an aerial treatment (drone) of a biological agent: trichogramma. These insects will attack the corn borer, a butterfly that lays its eggs in the corn.
In some cases, farmers can incur harvest-time losses of between 10 and 30% due to this insect. Until recently, these trichogramma were applied manually to the base of the corn. This process was extremely labour-intensive. Thanks to our drone, we can perform this process faster; this is cheaper for the farmer and just as effective.
Our drone-based services can help optimise vineyard management. We have the skills to create surveyor or conventional maps, used to identify disease, to closely observe grape ripening, etc.
